Easy Light Menu

Menu ops without another login

Update your restaurant menu by email — not another dashboard.

Easy Light Menu is a done-for-you digital menu service for restaurants: we build your guest-facing menu from photos of your paper menu; after go-live you email price, special, and dish changes — no new owner CMS login required. You still run Toast, Square, or whatever POS you already trust.

What “update by email” actually means

After your menu is live, your restaurant gets a simple ops habit: email changes@easylitemenu.com with what changed. Type the change in the subject (or a clear first line), add a sentence if needed, attach a photo when a new plate should replace an old one, and hit send. We update the guest-facing digital menu and confirm. You are not logging into three vendor dashboards to move a wing price by fifty cents.

That is the wedge versus DIY QR builders: build once with us, email forever — not “learn our software every Tuesday.”

A day-in-the-life change

Example (illustrative): Saturday brunch special changes, or wings move overnight.

  1. Owner or GM opens email on a phone.
  2. To: changes@easylitemenu.com
  3. Subject: Menu update — wings now $14.95 (or 86 — clam chowder / Brunch special — avocado toast photo attached)
  4. One sentence in the body if the subject needs context.
  5. Optional: photo of the new plate.
  6. Send. We update the live menu guests see on QR / table devices and confirm by email.

You do not need to redesign a PDF, call a printer, or retrain a host on a CMS. Printable PDF for existing covers remains available from the live menu when you want paper backups — see How it works.

What you never have to do

Your register stays yours. Easy Light keeps the guest-facing menu current.

Built first, emailed forever

  1. Snap / upload your paper menu (photos or PDF) — start with a free working demo if you want proof before you pay.
  2. We build the lit digital menu, QR, and (on packages that include it) the site — typically within 24 hours of payment and usable photos.
  3. Go live on phones via QR; optional table iPads are bring-your-own.
  4. Email thereafter for prices, specials, and dish replacements.

Honest scope — shipped vs rolling out

Shipped for menu ops (what this page is about): guest-facing digital menu built from your photos; QR; email updates for menu prices, specials, and dish changes; printable PDF from the live menu.

Homepage also lists broader “one email” ops (personnel, inventory, scheduling, trivia, and more). Treat anything marked rolling out on the homepage as not the reason to buy yet — ask Steve what’s live for your room. Do not promise scheduling automation or trivia as already universal on every plan unless the live site says so for your package.

Not this product: inventory ERP, payroll, or a full POS. Easy Light is not Toast/Square.

Who this is for

Owners and GMs who already know digital menus exist but refuse another login habit — full-service rooms, sports bars with moving specials, steakhouses that reprint too often, family rooms that need photo-led kids paths. If your pain is “I will not train staff on another dashboard,” this page is for you.

If your pain is “I want guests to pay on the tablet and fire tickets to the kitchen,” look at ordering/POS platforms instead — and read our compare vs QR menu apps for an honest fork in the road.

FAQ

What does “update by email” mean with Easy Light Menu?

After we build your digital menu from photos, you email changes to changes@easylitemenu.com. We update the guest-facing menu. You do not need a new owner dashboard for routine price and specials edits.

What should the email contain?

Restaurant identity (so we know which location), a clear subject (price change, 86, new special), a short body if needed, and an optional photo for a new dish. Keep it as clear as a text to a trusted manager.

How fast do changes go live?

Typical price/specials updates are handled as ops turnaround after we receive a clear email — ask Steve for current expectation when you go live. Complex rebuilds (whole new menu book) are a different job than a single price line.

Do I still need Toast or Square?

Yes, if that is how you ring sales today. Easy Light Menu is the guest-facing menu layer (and related site/QR), not a POS replacement.

What if something is misread?

We confirm updates by email. If a price looks wrong, reply immediately and we correct it. Human confirmation is part of the loop — the point is less owner CMS work, not zero accountability.

Is this only menus, or also scheduling and inventory emails?

Menu changes by email are the core story on this page. Broader subject-line ops on the homepage include items still rolling out. Ask what is live for your package before you plan staff workflows around it.

How do I see it before I buy?

Request a free working demo of your own menu — photos in, working demo back within about 24 hours, no card for the demo.

Multi-location or multi-language?

Per-location menus are the normal unit of work. Language switch and package details are described on the live site and pricing — confirm at signup what your plan includes.

BYOD vs buying iPads?

Services are bring-your-own-device. Guests can use table QR on their phones. Optional refurbished iPads are sold separately when you want us to set devices up — see current device notes on pricing / how-it-works.
