Commercial summary

3-year agreement — in plain English

This page explains how Easy Light Menu works commercially for restaurant owners. It is not a lawyer-drafted contract and not a substitute for a signed agreement. Built for high-end rooms where guests over fifty need backlit, pinch-to-zoom menus. It’s the honest summary of what we’re offering.

Term & rollover

You start on a 3-year term. At the end of those three years, the agreement automatically rolls into another 3-year term unless either party gives written notice at least 60 days before the then-current term ends.

Starter package & hardware (paid in full before we start)

No financing. No 50% deposits. Hardware + setup are paid in full before we begin.

  • Starter (10 tables): 10 lit menu iPads (folio cases, tethers, dock share) $3,000 + menu setup $1,000 = $4,000 total to start
  • Restaurant keeps the iPads forever — we don’t want them back
  • Per-unit hardware: $295 · 2-unit pilot: $650–$675 + setup fees scaled to scope
  • Optional website redo/setup: +$300 one-time

Lost, stolen, or damaged units are the restaurant’s responsibility to replace at then-current hardware pricing unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Monthly fees

Live Menu: $150 per restaurant per month — live CMS, menu on the tablets, email changes (subject is your restaurant name; we update live and confirm by email).

Website Care (optional): +$150 per month (after +$300 website setup). Stack with Live Menu = $300/mo.

Fees bill monthly for the life of the term (and any rollover term) while service continues.

Ship only — no on-site install

Custom cases + iPads ship to the restaurant. You plug in the dock, charge overnight, open the live menu URL. We do not send an installer on site.

Email changes — what we provide

Email changes — subject is your restaurant name. We update the live menu and confirm by email. Prefer changes@easylitemenu.com for 86s and price updates; use menus@easylitemenu.com for broader menu questions. Subject example: Mike and Denise’s — menu. Body in plain English: price changes, new dishes, 86 a dish, specials, event/band blurbs.

We apply the change to your live tablet menu ASAP (same hour when we can), and to your public site if you’re on Website Care when that change applies. Confirmation comes back by email. No owner IT required.

What you provide

  • Accurate restaurant name for the email subject match
  • Wi‑Fi that can reach the dining floor tablets
  • Daily dock / charge discipline overnight
  • Timely payment of hardware/setup (in full up front) and monthly fees
  • Menu content and photos you want guests to see
  • A clean partnership — we work with restaurants who treat the relationship professionally

What we provide

  • Shipped lit menu units and charging dock as purchased
  • Live menu service for the subscribed restaurant
  • Email-driven updates during the service relationship
  • Optional Website Care if selected

Partnership fit

We prefer restaurants who treat the partnership clean — clear communication, on-time payment, respectful ops. If the relationship turns into drama, we reserve the right to walk. Polite version: we’re building long references in Yorkville, Naperville, and St. Charles with owners who want a calm, professional setup.

Ads & kid games (optional)

In-menu ads: optional path so menus can help pay for themselves in about years 1–2 — estimate language, not a guarantee. Not required, not baked into the $150 / $300 fees.

Kid games: optional owner add-on, or you can install yourselves on Wi‑Fi. Not part of the base product.

Ending early

This summary assumes you stay for the term. Early exit, non-payment, or abuse of hardware/service would be handled in the signed agreement (fees owed for the remaining term or other remedies). If you need a custom pilot memo before full rollout, say so on the apply form.

Next step

If these terms match what you want, apply. We’ll send formal paperwork when we’re ready to ship your kit.
